Puppetry Courses : The Little Angel Theatre : Ages 2+

Crafty Kids is our Saturday morning 8 week club for 2-5 year old’s (nursery and reception ages) and their carers to come and share some quality creative fun time together.  Members begin the term by watching a performance of our fun new production of Dogs Don’t Do Ballet based on Anna Kemp’s charming picture book.  The following 7 weeks are spent on ‘crafty’ activities, songs and games linked to the show including some simple puppet making.  The children must be accompanied by an adult carer to get crafty with and will leave each session with something they have made themselves.  Why not take the little one to Crafty Kids while the older children make puppets at our ever popular Saturday Puppet club?

Saturday mornings:

9.45am – 11.00am (apart from wk 1)

19th January – 16th March (no class 23rd Feb half term)

£125 per carer/child pair (£65 conc) (includes seeing the show)

Please note – On the 19th January (week 1) the group will watch a performance of Dog’s Don’t Do Ballet at 10.00am instead of the normal session.  More details on booking.

SATURDAY PUPPET CLUB (ages 5-11)

SPC members see a performance of our exciting new production of Pinocchio at Little Angel before undertaking a 9 week challenge to create their own puppets and develop a short play for performance.  The term culminates in a grand finale for friends and family using the puppets they have made.  SPC is split into to 2 age groups – 5 to 7’s and 8 to 11’s.  We have two time slots to choose from (see below).

Saturday mornings:

9.45 – 11am for 5-7 year old’s (school Years1-3)

9.45 – 11am for 8-11 year old’s (school Years 4-6)

11.30 – 12.45pm for 5-7 year old’s (school Years1-3)

11.30 – 12.45pm for 8-11 year old’s (school Years 4-6)

On booking please state the age of child and time slot you require

12th January – 23rd March (no class 23rd Feb half term)

Please note – Times vary significantly on the FIRST week of term when members see a performance of Pinocchio at 2pm on the first week of term (12th Jan) INSTEAD of their usual session in the morning.  More details on booking.

LITTLE ANGEL YOUTH THEATRE (ages 11-17 secondary)

Our Youth Theatre is not open to new members this term due to an on-going project – However there is an opportunity to see them perform their production of Metamorphosis at Little Angel Theatre on 27th and 28th March.  Keep an eye on our ‘what’s on’ section for more information and to book tickets.

New members will be able to sign up to our youth theatre for the summer term starting in April 2013.  Join our mailing list so you don’t miss out when booking opens!

Stay and Play – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt Puppet Making Workshops
For age 2+ and their carer/parent

Top quality half term holiday creative fun. Come and see our production of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and then make a puppet. Guided by our experienced professional leaders, children and adults stay and play after the show and work together to make a puppet of their own. For children accompanied by an adult (maximum of 2 children per adult ratio required).
Two time slots to choose from:
Slot one: 10.30am – 1.30pm
Slot two: 1.30pm – 4.30pm
£40 per child/adult pair £30 concessions
£30 for 1 additional child (maximum of 2 children per adult ratio required)
