FAMILY EVENT: Explore the V&A’s collections through drawing and making activities. Choose a challenge, hunt for ideas in the galleries then create and make your own designs as a family – from fantasy doors to fancy hats.
Sunday 20 & 27 January – New Crazy Costumes
Albert the Alien needs a crazy costume. Read the story of Albert landing on earth and then explore the Museum to find objects for his costume. Children can draw a chair for a hat or see an interesting shape on a sculpture that would make a great cloak. Then back in the studio they can create an illustration of Albert’s costume.
This activity has been designed with Hayley Neubauer Costume Design for Film Resident at the V&A.
Drop in Design takes place on Sundays except during the school holidays when a variety of other activities take place. See the Family Art Fun Calendar for details.
