Kids courses : Feb 1/2 term : Islington Arts Factory : 18-22nd Feb

We have just discovered a little gem that sits just between Holloway, and Camden that we are quite excited about, as they are working hard to promote all the things we love in life. Kids, Creativity, and Arts and Dance.

It is called The Islington Arts Factory and it is a multi-arts community centre that provides over fifty educational courses in art, dance and music for children and adult learners. The are good people who believe that creativity should be undertaken for its own sake and that active involvement in the arts encourages positive personal growth throughout life and fosters social cohesion within the area. We totally agree, and will be making a visit over there very soon.

This 1/2 term there are three workshops available. Yoga for 5 – 14 year olds will run from 10.00 – 11.00am every morning (costs £25 for the week).  They also have Makecraft an art workshop for 6 – 12 year olds and Children’s Contemporary Company (see flyer below) for 5 – 14 year olds, both run from 11.00am – 3.00pm (cost £95 per course).

There are still spaces on all of the workshops, but Makecraft is close to capacity, so if your children want to attend that course, you have to book ASAP.  Call the centre on 020 7607 0561 for bookings.

If you are near by, and want to get involved, there is a Fantastical February FAir on 23rd Feb between 12-4pm. This is the centres annual arts and crafts fair, where you can meet local artists and craftspeople who will be displaying and selling their original art work. There will be an interactive art workshop for the kids, as well as cakes, snacks and a few other treats in store !

Get creative, it looks like fun. xo
