Royal Academy of Arts : Family Workshops : Summer 2013

Family workshops

We love love love the monthly and holiday RA workshops. They are well thought through, always applicable to a mix of age range, really interesting subject matter, and you get to work with brilliant art supplies and techniques available (ipads, craft materials, flip pads etc). What’s more the team are totally charming, and all this for FREE. It still amazes me that you can wander in off Piccadilly and be treated like you’re booking into The Dorchester, if only for a few hours. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff at the RA.

They also have an Art Detectives kids trail, that are fun worksheets for younger visitors to enjoy. They are available for free from the RA or can be downloaded here. Each guide includes creative activities and encourages families to explore exhibitions together.

To book workshop places, call the Learning team on 020 7300 5995 or email learning@royalacademy.org.uk
