Music Family Events : Classic Stories & Percussion playing : The Forge, Camden

The Forge venue in Delancy Street, in Camden is a space that was designed by the award-winning Burd Haward Architects. It’s brief was to build a venue with natural acoustics for live musical performance, The Forge is the perfect venue for concerts, rehearsals, recordings, auditions and other arts-based activities.

It also has a wonderful glazed courtyard which acts as both an eating space for The Foundry and a foyer space for The Forge. Within the courtyard is the building’s central focus: a stunning 6.5 metre high ‘living wall’ of plants. Designed by Katharine Bradburn, we are able to boast the first and only internal living wall within a restaurant throughout the UK. The perfect inside-outside space.

Children & Family Events

They have a whole host of events for Children and Families at The Forge this year.  They are a child-friendly venue with easy access and space for pushchairs plus a lovely light courtyard area. Don’t forget the children’s menu at the on-site Bar & Restaurant, The Foundry – as well as delicious coffee for grown-ups.

Here’s a little song to get you in the mood …

The Gruffalo Song (sing along now …)

He has terrible tusks, and terrible claws,
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws.

He’s the Gruffalo! Gruffalo! Gruffalo!
He’s the Gruffalo!

He has knobbly knees and turned-out toes,
And a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.

He’s the Gruffalo! Gruffalo! Gruffalo!
He’s the Gruffalo!

His eyes are orange , his tongue is black,
He has purple prickles all over his back.

He’s the Gruffalo! Gruffalo! Gruffalo!
He’s the Gruffalo!

He’s the GRRRRRRRRR………Gruffalo!
He’s the Gruffalo!Imagination Station
