This is JUST SO up our festival path, that we wish we were part of the cosy cultured family that invented this magical boutique weekend of adventure.
The Just So Festival is a boutique, weekend-long festival of creativity aimed at children, young people and their families. The 2013 festival will take place 16/17/18 August 2013 at Rode Hall Parkland in Cheshire.
The festival provides a magical experience where art, music and literature are embedded and entwined in a beautiful and wonderous landscape. We provide a broad range of musical, theatrical, visual and aural performances, workshops and installations within a safe, natural and magical setting. Every clearing and glade holds a new way to unleash creativity. Families discover and delight in the spectacular within the woodland environment during this spectacular weekend event.
Many of our favourite creative teams will be at the festival holding workshops. The illustrators (Charlene & Katie) behind the brilliant creative science workshops play-o-logy will be re-creating the solar system in their tent, you can play with The Gruffalo, frolick on the beach on the banks of Rhode Pool, play a saw, learn to knit in the chit-chat-knit tent, have a pillowfight, sing around the camp fire at night, learn about flying at the RSPB Basecamp, learn to lassoo, dance with a dragon, bend like yoga, laugh your socks of, watch puppetry, and of course get magical with Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show. Hand on heart, that isn’t even 1/2 of it … so check on the site to read more.
CAMPING
Weekend festival tickets include three nights camping, Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August 2013. Camping will be in the glorious parkland at Rode Hall. The campsite will open at 12 noon on Friday 16th August, to give you time to get pitched up before the festival site opens at 2pm.
Camping is directly adjacent to the main entrance, no more than 10 minutes walk from the car park. Pitches won’t be allocated, so make plans to meet friends and family at the entrance, or you can save them a spot! There should be plenty of space in the fields for playing and larking about. Please do not plan to bring a gazebo though as they do take up valuable camping space. Show the same respect to your environment as you do in the rest of the site, and please keep to the marked areas to pitch your tents.

BABIES
They love babies – the team behind the event have some – and so they make sure the festival experience is as comfy as possible by providing:
A dedicated baby changing tent, with changing mats, nappies and wipes, supported in 2013 by Cheshire East Recyclingand Go Real, Real Nappy Information Service.
Baby feeding boudoir. Babies are, of course, welcome to breast or bottle feed wherever they please but if you would like a bit of peace and quiet, there will be a comfy place for you to relax.
For older babies, you will be able to use an area with electicity points for bottle warmers and sterilisers.
Baby bathtime is a dedicated tent with baby baths, bubbles and lots of warm water for splashing in.
