A Bus Stop Review of The Snowman

We sent Bus Stop Kid Sophia and her Mama, to see The Snowman at The Peacock Theatre. They had been wanting to see the show for a few years, as the book is a family favourite.

You made my wish come true – Sophia, aged 8

To add a bit of magic to their family trip, this year is the shows 20th anniversary, which made it extra special for them both.

Review from Sophia’s Mama;

Thank you so much for sending us to review this show, it is our absolute favourite. Even though the performance is silent, Sophia was transfixed throughout. She adored the ballerina dancers, the penguins, and the fruits.

She also found the snowmen from around the world very funny. She loved the snow fall at the end of the show very fun but was very short though.

We found that the show followed the story very smoothly.

My tip is that to give your kids the opportunity to get the most out of the show, it would be a good idea to read the book together before coming to the show.

Although the story was about a boy but it was a very good balance of entertainment for girls too.

I think I enjoyed it almost as much as Sophia, and looking around at the other families, it seemed that all the adults were having a great time – especially the Dads.

Sophia enjoyed the magical tale and seeing the show so much we even managed to get a photo with the star of the show on way home!
