The Playground Theatre are sharing their film of performance of Great Expectations here. It was produced by Theatre Lab Company. It is on the English GCSE 2020 reading list and is suitable for children. The film of the play runs for one hour and 36 minutes.


Get your wigs and cravats out and dress up for a Secret Sofa night in. It works like this; Every Tuesday the Secret Sofa of the week will be announced via email. Sometimes they tell you the title up front, other times we’ll keep you guessing. At 7.30pm (BST) on Friday, thousands of households hit play at the same time to watch some of the greatest films together.

Donmar’s first ever online premiere MIDNIGHT YOUR TIME, written by Adam Brace and directed by their Artistic Director Michael Longhurst, will be streamed on their YouTube channel on Wed 13 May 2020, and then available for 7 days. Acclaimed stage and screen actor Diana Quick will revive the role she originated and has recorded her performance via webcam at her home directed remotely by Michael Longhurst.

How about WISE CHILDREN on the BBC iplayer, the performance of Emma Rice’s production of Angela Carter’s dark final novel, a story of twins from a dysfunctional family who pursue a career performing as showgirls?
